Give Kids a Smile

A new approach for 2022

We humbly ask for your participation in Give Kids a Smile 2022. This critical volunteer program provides care to uninsured kids around Idaho. After receiving feedback regarding the Give Kids a Smile program, we have made some improvements for this coming year.

What is expected of a GKAS volunteer?  The only expectation of a GKAS visit is a cleaning and basic oral health education - fillings and further work are your discretion.

Children came to my office that had Medicaid or other coverage. This program is meant for children without any sort of coverage, so technically these children do not qualify for GKAS. Our new sign-up forms include a required agreement that any child being signed up and brought into an office is not covered by insurance and is under 18.You can also have the parents sign a waiver agreeing to this, sample forms are found below.

In the past too many children were being sent to my office/ my office saw less children than we signed up for. This year your office has complete control of your event! Simply create a login for the Give Kids a Smile event page , create your GKAS event and the ADA will e-mail with further reminders, such as ordering supplies.
Please reach out with any questions.
