  • Full-Time Associate Dentist needed in Nampa

    Description:

    We are looking for a specific type of individual that shares our business philosophy: Customers are the most important asset in the dental business. We make ourselves available to our patients when it is convenient for THEM. *Our office hours are Monday-Friday: 8-6, and Saturdays: 8-2 (based on patient availability and scheduled appointments). Without happy patients we do not survive. Our highest priority is the patient experience, so having a great personality with an unwavering focus on the patient's well-being is paramount. We also demand clinical excellence in general dentistry for families (we love kids)! We are a busy, dynamic, and growing practice in Western Idaho that provides comprehensive care: implants, orthodontics, cosmetics, crowns/bridges, sedation, pediatrics, dentures, and emergency services (including wisdom teeth and root canals). 

    COMPENSATION: Dentist will be compensated via commission based on services performed. Associate dentist needed to work 4 days each week (including Saturdays). Specific days to work will be determined during interview / hiring process. 

    SUPPORT / STAFF: Our office is a beautiful stand-alone building designed by the owner with the feeling of entering an Alpine Chalet. Our office is computerized with modern equipment & materials.  You get to treat patients like family -- no compromises. Personal leave is encouraged, but must be scheduled in advance. 

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: It is preferred that you have at least 2 years of experience in the dental profession since graduation OR a certificate from an AEGD or GPR training.  Preference will be given to applicants with more experience (please list applicable training in your resume, including AEGD or GPR training, CE courses in Pediatrics, Endodontics, Oral Surgery, Implants, Orthodontics, etc.). Most of our staff is bilingual, so your ability to speak Spanish is a plus! 

    CERTIFICATES, LICENSES AND REGISTRATIONS: CPR or ACLS or PALS certificate.  Idaho Dental License.  DMD or DDS degree.  DEA certificate.  Liability Insurance.

    Minimum eligibility and qualifications:

    Completion of ADA accredited dental program required: Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD). Active Idaho dental license. BLS certification required. Certification through Drug Enforcement Agency and valid Idaho licenses required; must be able to secure credentialing through identified agencies; effective oral and written communication skills required; previous experience working with under-served population desired.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    1. Schedule dental care visits per agreed upon FTE status.
    2. Ability to see 15-20 patients per clinical day.
    3. Perform clinical services such as restorative, surgical, various preventative and restorative services as directed by the Chief Medical Director or Dental Director.
    4. Understand and follow infection control procedures.
    5. Review medical histories at each visit; consult with primary health care provider as indicated.
    6. Diagnose dental disease, oral pathology, and develop a written treatment plan, prioritizing treatments.
    7. Chart all pathologic conditions and report findings to the patient (caregiver or guardian).
    8. Explain course of treatment to the patient; solicit his/her input and agreement.
    9. Balance treatment plan on patient’s needs and desires, and in conjunction with patient and clinic resources.
    10. Ensure all prescriptions and advice regarding medications is in accordance with accepted community standards and Heritage Health protocols.
    11. Recommend dental equipment changes and additions.
    12. Participate in the development and implementation of provider productivity standards.
    13. Attend and participate in staff meetings and in-service trainings.
    14. Represent Heritage Health at conferences, meetings, and continuing education programs.
    15. Participate in precepting dental assisting students, dental hygiene students, and dental students as required.
    16. Promotes positive interpersonal relationships with fellow employees, physicians and patients.
    17. Ensures confidentiality of patient information.
    18. Has regular and predictable attendance.
    19. Attends all monthly staff meetings and other meetings as requested.
    20. Participates in QA/QI activities.
    21. Perform other duties as assigned or indicated.
    22. Attends all staff meetings.
    23. Participates on QA or other committees to promote better practice within the health centers.
    24. Role models strong leadership skills and promotes teamwork.
    25. Follows all clinical protocols and procedures as outlined in the Provider Handbook.
    26. Actively supports decision making of the Senior Management team. Performs other duties as requested.
