Idaho Dental Foundation Awards $8,000 in Grants

Five Idaho dental programs can now serve more people in vulnerable populations thanks to grants from the Idaho Dental Foundation (IDF). These grants are part of the IDF’s mission to support ongoing oral health initiatives throughout the state of Idaho.

The $8,000 in funding was distributed to the following:

Terry Reilly - WTVDS: $3,500

Dental treatment for indigent patients working to overcome their drug dependency at the Allumbaugh House.

Kaleidoscope- IPDS: $1,500.00 

Dental treatment for homeless patients seeking a safe living environment.

Genesis Community Health Clinic- SWIDS: $1,500.00 

Dental treatment for low income, uninsured adults.

Miles for Smiles- SWIDS: $1,000

Dental exams, cleanings, fluoride treatments, and take home dental wellness kits for grade school children attending 19 Boise public schools serving free or reduced fee meals.

Your Special Smiles, Twin Falls - SCIDS: $500

Dental treatment and education for adults with special needs/limited mobility in a hospital or mobile clinic that is not reimbursed.
