Description: This two-part lecture series will focus on the advances in the diagnosis, management, and surgical treatment of periodontal disease and conditions. Part two focuses on bone grafts, sinus lifts, and implants.
Course Objectives:
- Review the prevalence, diagnosis, and etiology of periodontitis, peri-implantitis, gingival recession, and mucogingival conditions
- Recognize the indications and protocols of laser assisted periodontal surgery
- Compare the advantages of laser assisted periodontal surgery as compared to osseous resective surgery and guided tissue regeneration
- Understand the indications and protocols for soft tissue grafting procedures
