Social media is an integral part of our lives as oral healthcare providers. It is an outlet for connection and learning, but there are downsides. What if you are a victim of harassment, bullying, gaslighting or trolling? Come to this lecture to learn—from the emergency medicine provider perspective-- more about the downsides of social media, how to protect yourself, and what to do if you are a victim. Learners will be able to review cases of bullying and harassment of healthcare workers; how to protect yourself from the downsides of social media; and discuss some positive ways to use social media in your practice.
