Presented by the ADA’s Council on Advocacy for Access and Prevention (CAAP)

Few challenges strike as much fear in a dentist’s heart as the need to talk to one a patient who has been harmed by their dental care.  Join the webinar and hear national experts share best practices for communicating with patients who have been involved in a “near miss” or adverse incident, while being able to describe how these skills reinforce the key behaviors needed to support patients and drive learning in dentistry.

By the conclusion of this webinar, attendees will be able to:

  • Identify 3 steps they can take today to enhance a culture of patient safety in their practice;
  • Explain 3 reasons why transparency is essential to a culture of safety;
  • Describe the critical communication skills required to respond effectively when patients are harmed by their dental care.
